Cattleya trianae is the name of this orchid and is our National Flower since 1936
January 20th, 2012 at 3:47 amYou show five orchids above and call them all “Christmas Orchids.” There are four species above. The top two are EPIDENDRUMS, the third is an ANGRAECUM, the fourth is a DENDROBIUM, and the fifth is a CATTLEYA. They can’t all be the Christmas orchid. In fact, the ANGRAECUM, does not even grow in Colombia. It is a native of Madagascar. This site could use a botanist.
